Part 3
Acts 16 : 16 Paul endures an attack.
One really has to admire how God can give anyone the confidence to go through the most difficult of things necessary, at any time.
I will share below how this story can help you in 7 different ways.
Key points
1. Acts 16:16 - 18. This time Paul is with Silas.
Paul and Silas
One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to tell the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters by telling fortunes.
She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.”
This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.
7 Key points
Amazing - I have often wondered over the years how under such persecution they were able to endure and carry on.
But God is able.
3. I am sure Paul and Silas could not have imagined the scale and number of people that would read about their trials.
We can learn so much about faith from the Paul and Silas story many years after they have passed away.
4. Amazingly while Paul and Silas were in prison their faith remained strong.
Indeed, their singing brought about a massive earthquake that freed prisoners!
Still God is able.
5. The Jailer ends up asking Paul after seeing all this, what he must do to be saved.
There is even an invite to the jailer’s house!
6. The Bible says the jailers washed their wounds.
It’s such a massive change of circumstance that shows God can do so much in any given situation if we just believe.
7. Eventually the magistrate ordered that Paul and Silas be released.
Lesson here?
It does not matter how bad a situation may look or feel, God is still God.
He can change any situation entirely.
How did this help me?
It showed an extraordinary demonstration of faith in extreme circumstances.
A great reminder of the endless power God has.
How can this story help you?
Embrace God’s desire to help and change your life.
Paul had a striking change that even he did not see coming.
But God clearly can change anyone.
Summary
The story illustrates the love, power and change that God can bring to any situation.
God wants to find people who will make themselves available and believe.
So many times, one can be tempted to think God just will not do this or that.
But while sometimes God might withhold something for our own protection, His heart is full of love.
God also has a desire to give everything we need to know him and live the life Christ died for us to have.
Let God walk with you each day and show you who He is.
He has an answer to every problem.

Hello, thedmncproject :)
I'm a Christian living in SoCal. I attend the church Dwelling Place Anaheim. I got an email notification late on Tuesday night that you had subscribed to my Substack publication. I actually haven't posted anything yet, but I plan to. Is there any way I can contact you separately? There was an amazing move of God that happened on Tuesday night at our church and I think it might be significant that I got that email on the same night...
Thank you - great writing, great insight.
